Incredibly Slow printing on 2008 sr2 64bit

Hopefully somone can help with this.

OS : Windows XP 32 bit
Client App running through xennapp.
Pdf printer installed on client (xp32 bit machine)

time to print 11 documents to PDF : 30 secs

OS : Server 2008 R2 64 bit
Client App running through xennapp.
Pdf printer installed on client (Server 2008 R2 64 bit)

time to print 11 documents to PDF : 3+ minutes


On the xp machine it seems to spit out the documents , on 2008 i click print on the xenapp window, it starts spooling as the xp machine one does, it seems to take an age to produce the pdf files though , i'm trying to automate the printing of a lot of documents , 30 secs is acceptable , 3 mins+ isn't.

I've also tried PDF Creator which seems to have the same problem , if i had a bet i would say that the issue is in Ghostscript but not sure what.

I'd appreciate any thought of this , i've already tried the obvious ones about turning off advanced settings etc

Any news on this issue? Did you find a solution? I am experiencing similar problems for my 2008 R2 server.
