Append AND Merge at once

I can append a pdf to my document and i can merge a background pdf to my document but what im having trouble doing is merging a background and appending a pdf all at once. i just get the appended pdf and my document WITHOUT the merged background.

any ideas?

I just tried that in the latest version and it seems to work. Are you using the latest version?
