Hi,

More on this problem which I can't seem to overcome..

If I de-nstal and re-install bullzip it works for that session only. If I switch off the machine and switch it back on the problem returns. I have tried loging in as administrator and de-installing and installing then going back in as a normal user and .. it does not work same error message .. I am guessing that this is something to do with User access permisions but turning UAC off does not solve the problem.

Any help really appreciated

Jim

Hi,

I don't reproduce this problem but I get a reference to error 429 in the following case.

My configuration :
----------------------
Windows Vista Home Premium Sp1 (English-US) (UAC on/off)
Bullzip 6.0.766 French

step by step :
-----------------
- display this thread in Firefox (3.0.10 French)
- print to Bullzip Pdf printer
=> a printing message box is displayed with the error in the title few seconds before the GUI appears
(cf attached file error.jpg)
- the pdf file creation continues normally

I don't reproduce :
- with a "post a reply page" or the Bullzip Forum's home page.
- with the same thread from Internet Explorer 7 (no printing box at all)
- with a 15 sheets Word document

In my case, it seems related to the name of the printjob sent by Firefox.
The pdf name generated by <smartitle> is (Bullzip Home ? View topic -...).pdf
(I get the same printing message box if I set the name a.pdf in Bullzip options)

Regards.

I don't have the error, but similar problem.

Nothing happens when I select the PDF-printer and press OK in any program.
If I (re)install BullZip, it works perfect until I reboot the machine.

Could this have something to do with drivers? It's really hard to debug, since there's no logs and the only thing I can see after restart is the following in the System Log (My Computer > Administration):
The printer driver Apple Color LW 12/660 PS for Windows NT x86 Version-3 was added or updated. Files:- PSCRIPT5.DLL, PS5UI.DLL, APLWCSB1.PPD, PSCRIPT.HLP, PSCRIPT.NTF.

I have an Oki network printer running PS. Running WinXP with 6.0.0.865 (have tried most versions this year) - both Danish installs.

How do I retain more logs in Windows? Do you want me to downgrade even further? How could I help testing?
