Installation hangs for 8 minutes then error

I am installing BullzipPDF 9.7.0.1592. I checked Ghostlite and Xpdf were OK and even tried installing them separately.
When I run install, the programme starts loading driver and then flags 'Error installing printer driver', after 8 minutes.
I've used various versions of Bullzip, and wonder if it would be possible to provide downloads of some of the older versions?
I've never had any problems with them.

I checked the log-file and there is a large number of entries related to HP colour Laserjets, which I don't have installed.

Any ideas how to get round this?

I have experienced the same problem. I am using Win7 32Bit.

In the web site, it is mentioned that BullZip has 64Bit support, but there's no mention of 32Bit support.

Could this cause the problem? If so, how can I find BullZip installation file that supports 32Bit?

First, I found an old version of Bullzip (7.2.0.1304). It told me it needed the following files:

pscript.hlp

hp__clj1.ppd (note the 2 underscores)

hpclj.icm

I had copies of these files ready, but browsing from the installation prompt for the files is incongruous at best.

Once the files were taken - job done!!

The files are now located in the following directories:

C:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3\pscript.hlp

C:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86\3\hp__clj1.ppd

C:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\color\hpclj.icm

This only works with Bullzip version 7.2.0.1304

Version 9.8.0.1599 still just hangs around for 8 minutes and bombs out.

Hoping someone from the dev team steps up soon or putting cutepdf back on. It worked, mostly. That is why I was trying BZ! Now that's turned around and is bitting my arse
