We are currently looking for a solution to implement scheduled PDF report printing. We were recommended BullZip as a free solution, but I would like to know how the current license model applies our expected setup.
Our setup goes as follows. A server is dedicated to running SQL Server on which the databases of our ERP system are located. We have a scheduler running on that server as well that automates some tasks. We would install the BullZip PDF printer on the server so it can be used locally, only. The scheduler would use the printer to generate PDF reports before e-mailing them to managers in the company (we're talking at most ~40 people). Terminal Services are enabled on the server, but only a handful (4-5) System Administrators can remotely log onto the server, and none does so except to perform Windows or SQL Server maintenance. The PDF printer will not be installed on any user's workstation except for 1-2 programmers dedicated to the maintenance and customization of the ERP system.
Summary:
- 1 installation on a server with Terminal Services (4-5 users - none will use it, though)
- 1-2 installation on workstations
- Only 1 process (a scheduler) using the PDF printer based on a predefined schedule
- Reports generated are e-mailed to any number of people between 1 and 40
Does the 10-user limit apply in this case?
