Bullzi PDF installed but Nothing?

I just loaded the bullzip program on my new vista machine. I loaded the GS and the Billzip pdf program. It says successfully. However, when I try to print I get nothing. Should not Bullzip ask where to put the pdf? Should not a dialogue ask me foe a filename?

Any suggestions?

Hi Calypso,

Could you please upgrade to the latest version 3.0.0.222 and try again. If the problem persists you should give the version number of your Ghostscript installation.

Thanks for the reply. I downloaded the 3.0.0.222 version and the 8.56 version of Ghostscript. I removed the older versions and installed. Still no go.

Procedure:Simple Document in Wordpad

Print>(print dialog)

I choose Bullzip as the printer >Print

I see the "printing to" information box for a few seconds.

(Dialogue box) "Save PDF as:" This is always behind the application. I have to minimize all applications to see this dialogue. (Other save as dialogues always display on top)

I name the PDF file and select save. Dialogue closes and no file is created.

This is a new machine. I have a minor problem with some software due to what I believe is the display driver. The system has a nVidia Go 7900gs video card. Many forums note that at present nVidia has no Vista drivers for this chip. The system uses the native Microsoft driver. It has been suggested that this may be the root of some problems. What do you suggest?

Hi Calypso and Jacob,

I'm having the same problem on Vista. Have you managed to fix the problem on your PC? (If so, could you please share the solution?)

I've installed GS 8.6 and BullZip 3.0.352. Like you, when I print to BZ, the save as dialog appears in the back and after I've put in a file name, no file is saved. I also notice in Taskmanager that the BZ task is still running.

I could not find the runonce.ini or settings.ini files on my system so I'm not sure if its been installed properly.

Any help would be appreciated.

In the options dialog there is a tab named "dialogs". Please make sure that the "Suppress all errors" is unchecked. Hopefully this will produce an error message that you can post here.

Thanks for your quick reply. I did enable the dialog but could not find any error message. I suspect its something to do with Vista UAC (sigh). Anyway, thanks again for your help.
