Filesize and use of background

Hi,
When using the background option I found the size of the created file was quite a lot bigger than the sum of each file separable. For example:
- one page from Word 2003 created a pdf of 58 kb
- the used background is a PDF file of 107 kb
- merging them creates a PDF file of 679 kb
I know harddrives are big enough these days, but still if I want to create files this way for all the invoices I send, it might become a problem. The problem gets bigger if I want to send them by email. I just don't see a reason why it should become so big.
Hope you have the solution!
By the way: just found out today that Bullzip exists. I'm sure I will run in to some problems installing it on a network but so far it looks easy to handle. Especially the way I can append to another file is great.
Perhaps there is someone who can translate the program into Dutch?
Greetings,
Johannes
