custom page size

Post by gptix »

Thank you very much for the excellent software.

I would like to make PDF pages that are 20cm wide by 15cm tall.

I am printing from Word 2000 on Windows XP.

->Print
print dialog appears
->select Bullzip PDF
->Properties button
->Advanced button
->Paper/Output (might not be same words, I am using a Japanese version of XP)
->select Postscript custom size
->set dimensions to 200mm by 150mm
->OK OK OK OK

The PDF file is created, but the size of the pages is 8.5in by 11in

I also tried specifying A5, but again the PDF file comes out 8.5 x 11.

Is there a setting that I need to change to make the settings I specify take effect?

Is this a problem with my PDF reader (Adobe Reader 8)?

Thank you

Hi,

Microsoft Word is a little picky when it comes to printing on other form factors. Here is what you should do:

1) Open your control panel and select Printers.
2) From the Printers window you open the File menu and select Server Properties.
3) On the Forms tab you check the "Create a new form" and fill in the dimensions of your new form.
4) Name and save the new form.
5) Select the new form in Page Setup inside Microsoft Word.

That should do it.

Hi,

Just what I needed when trying to get an A3 brochure with 3mm bleed margins. Worked a treat and saved a lot of head scratching and Windows-cursing!
