Bullzip does a terrific job in general, with embedded fonts and generally crisp, accurate appearance. It is easy to use (although I have not found all the extra features touted in the description, like adding security).
The Achilles heel is shadows. I am printing a file created in Word 2003 on the Vista OS. I have many boxes with drop shadows. The first box shadow displays perfectly. All the others have dithered grid stuff and are unsatisfactory. I am unable to determine what is different about that first box.
I'm looking for a free or low-cost program students can use. I hope we can solve this problem.
