Invalid parameter on Vista 32 (v6.0.0.725)

Hi,

I'm also getting the famous "Invalid parameter" error when installing the Bullzip PDF printer :(
(Dutch/Nederlandse version)

I've run from the commandline (Admin mode) for Install Driver:
C:\Windows\system32>RUNDLL32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /ia /m "HP LaserJet 8150 PS" /f "C:\Windows\inf\ntprint.inf" /u

And I'm getting the same error.

The Install Printers command retuns with error 0xe0000100.

Any solutions?

I found your problem.

When I use the following commands, everything is installed as it should be:

C:\>RUNDLL32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /ia /m "HP LaserJet 8150 PS" /f "C:\Windows\inf\prnhp001.inf" /u

C:\>RUNDLL32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /if /b "Bullzip PDF Printer" /f "C:\Windows\inf\prnhp001.inf" /r "BULLZIP" /m "HP LaserJet 8150 PS" /z

It was using the wrong inf-file.... the ntprint.inf file does not contain the HP printer definition.

where did you get the prnhp001.inf from?

Hi,

The file was already there.
It's a new machine (Acer did it probably with an image, so I'm not sure if it's realy clean), so I can't see if the file is standard Windows or not.

I did a string search for "HP LaserJet 8150 PS" in all *.inf files and that file came up.

It's probably not a standard Vista but if it is an Acer it is not the only one out there. Maybe I should improve the setup program to take this system variation into account. Which folder is the file located in?

The file is located in the standard inf folder (C:\Windows\inf).

Maybe just search for the printer string in all *.inf files, that should probably tackle the problem :)
